Biography of Clarence Towers

Clarence Towers is a commercial photographer based in San Francisco, CA. His clients have been advertising agencies, design firms and corporations. Past clients include Union Bank of California, DuPont, Levi's, AT&T and the City of San Francisco to name a few. He has also photographed for several architectural accounts for both architectural firms and commercial real estate firms shooting buildings and interiors. These accounts for the corporations and developers included annual reports and editorial articles for the Palace Hotel, Bank of America and the Crocker Galleria. Mr. Towers is the former director of the San Francisco Photography Center, considered to be the largest publicly funded photographic facility in the United States. It is located at the Harvey Milk Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

Mr. Towers continues to pursue fine art photography and has exhibited his work in San Francisco, New York, and Chicago. He has also exhibited his photography in Japan. His current projects includes photographing cowboys/cowgirls of color and large format abstract landscapes of the west with color transparencies, black and white film as well as with the digital medium.
